2nd Research Workshop on Energy Economics

Venue: Faculty of Economics & Business, KU Leuven Call for papers On October 4, 2013, the Benelux Association for Energy Economics (BAEE) will organize its second research workshop on energy economics together with KU Leuven. This small-scale workshop will take place in Leuven (Belgium) and will offer researchers from the Benelux the opportunity to present a paper and to interact with colleagues. Papers do not need to be original; there will be no proceedings published. The workshop will cover all topics related to energy economics, from environmental policy and energy reliability, to regulation and competition issues. We will accept papers in economic theory, empirical work and economic policy, and are also open towards interdisciplinary work such as techno-economic models or law and economics. We especially encourage Master and PhD-students to submit their work. We hope you will join us for an intellectually stimulating workshop! Scientific committee Per Agrell (UCL Leuven), Machiel Mulder (NMa/University of Groningen), Guido Pepermans (Hogeschool - Universiteit Brussel), Stef Proost (KU Leuven), Mark Sanders (University of Utrecht), Laurens de Vries (TU Delft) and Bert Willems (Tilburg University). Submission of papers If you would like to submit a paper, please complete the registration form before August 31. Your proposal should include an abstract of maximum 300 words or a finished paper. The abstract should clearly indicate the research question, the research methodology and the contribution of the paper. We accept recently published work for presentation at the workshop. Draft versions of Master theses or chapters of PhD-dissertations are also welcome. Important dates The program and the list of presenters will be confirmed by September 9. Full papers need to be submitted by September 15, 2013. Presentations should be submitted before September 27, 2013. Both full papers and presentations should be submitted to [email protected].
