The BAEE has planned a number of public events in Belgium and the Netherlands for this year. (1) A workshop on experiments in May 2014 (The Hague). (2) The 3rd Research Workshop on Energy Economics in Sep / Okt 2014. (3) A Policy Workshop in Nov 2014 (Brussels). (4) A joint workshop with NeVER. Delft University of Technology organizes, under technical co-sponsorship of the BAEE, a seminar on regulating investments in gas infrastructures. The speakers on this seminar are Alberto Pototschnig (ACER) , Wim Groenendijk (Gasunie / ENTSOG ), Machiel Mulder (NMa/RUG) and Jeroen de Joode (ECN).
The seminar will be held at Delft University of Technology on Wednesday 27 June, 13.30h - 17.30h. This seminar is organized on the occasion of the PhD defense of Jeroen de Joode on the same topic the day after (28 June , 12.00h) . The IAEE organizes the 12th IAEE European Energy Conference. The conference aims at providing a forum for an analysis of the new developments and a new vision of the future of energy and environmental sectors.

Parallel with the European IAEE conference, the IAEE, YEEES and AIEE organize the IAEE European PhD-students day. The aim of this day is to promote collaboration between the different student chapters of the IAEE. At the workshop students will have plenty of opportunity to present and discuss their work.

The Centrum voor Energievraagstukken at the University of Amsterdam organizes a workshop on consumer protection in the energy sector. The aim of the workshop is to identify the legal, economic and practical obstacles to consumer protection in the energy sector after the implementation of the third energy package. If possible policy recommendations will be made to improve the position of energy consumers.
